Q. I’m interested in becoming a dog trainer but my dog still has a LOT of struggles – I don’t think I’m ready yet?
A. We get this question a LOT so first know of all know that you aren’t alone. In fact, most people decide to become trainers BECAUSE of their dogs struggles. Just because you are still working with your dog doesn’t stop you from becoming a professional trainer. In fact quite the opposite, as people will connect and resonate with you and your journey.
Q. Is the Train Like a Pro challenge for people who want to become professional trainers or is it for dog owners?
A. The simple answer is BOTH! We’ve created this challenge so that you as an individual dog owner, can train your dog using the same skills and knowledge as the PROs. All the Geeky goodness that you can get your hands on!
If you want to further your dream as a professional then you can! We didn’t want to exclude anyone from this - many of our students go all the way to completing the Pro Dog Trainer qualification (released at the end of the challenge) just for their own dog.
Q. Do I get to keep the challenge after the 14 days?
A. Yes! You will have lifetime access to the challenge and the Facebook Group so you can catch up at any time you like. So if life (as it sometimes does) gets in the way you’ll always be able to watch and catch up at a time to suit you.
Q. Will this give me a professional dog training qualification?
This challenge will give you a (pretty extensive!) foundation of all the geeky knowledge you need to understand dog behaviour with the tools and skills to put into practice with your own (or other people’s) dogs. Consider it a ‘glimpse’ into our 12 month Pro Dog Trainer Qualification which will be released and open for registration at the end of the challenge. (exciting!) Whether you stop at the end of this challenge, or continue your journey with our 12 month qualification, you’ll have more than enough knowledge to get you started.
Q. How much time will I need to set aside to do the challenge?
A. There will be one pre-recorded video a day (approx. 15 mins) and one live in the Facebook Group (approx. 15 mins). So we recommend setting aside 30 mins a day to take in all the information. The training games we play take just 3 minutes! So set aside a few 3 minute breaks to have some fun with your dog too.
